DEPTFORD – According to reports, a number of young and men’s league hockey coaches in South Jersey were accused of asking a teenage girl to take a photo of herself in lingerie.
According to a record at Salem County Prison, 23-year-old Justin C. Maska was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly infringing on children’s ethics and cyber harassment, including sending obscene articles.
He was detained in prison without bail.
According to a published report, the National Park man was suspected of having an erotic conversation with a 12-year-old girl, asking for a photo and telling her what he wanted to do to her.
The exchange allegedly took place on August 15, the week before his arrest.
According to reports, the girl is a camper for Maska as a counselor. Although the name of the camp has not yet been announced, Maska’s social media reports indicate that he is a high school graduate in the Gateway area and a scorer in the Voorhees Virtua Center Flyers Skate Zone.
In January of this year, Maska launched a fundraising event at GoFundMe.com to raise funds for travel to Slovakia in June to guide family members to the World Baseball Federation Youth Championship.
The event page shows Maska as part of the West Deptford, Bellmawr and Gloucester Township hockey league.
